About this course
Overview
Software will happily analyse a model that does not represent the structure. Working hands-on in STAAD Pro and AutoCAD, you go from geometry and loading through member design to drawings, on real structures rather than textbook frames, using each tool for what it is genuinely good at.
What you will be able to do
Learning outcomes
- Build accurate analytical models in STAAD Pro
- Analyse frames for strength and serviceability
- Design and check steel and concrete elements
- Prepare structural detailing in AutoCAD
- Validate software output against first principles
